Antique brass desktop organizer with a hinged lid and three interior compartments with a pen holder on the front. Made of brass by J.E. Mergott Co. in Newark, New Jersey. Inside is stamped with a patent date in 1919. The inside of the lid has embossed advertising for Titusville Forge Company in Titusville, Pennsylvania. The piece is in very good condition with no breaks or damage. It shows some surface wear from use and a dark mottled patina to the brass with some. Measures about 6 3/8 inches long. This scarce old pen holder would make a nice addition to your office or Titusville collection.
