Neat handmade beaded whimsy made by Iroquois Native Americans. Found in New York state. This whimsey is shaped like a boot with a high heel and a pocket at the top. Shows lots of age and wear. Unsigned, maker unknown. Measures about 6 1/2 inches tall, not including the tassels and dangling beads. There are areas of very thing fabric and some holes and there are missing beads and dangles as pictured. Despite the age and wear, it's still a nice old beautiful example of Iroquois beadwork.
