Awesome brass cube box shaped cremation urn with blank straight sides and a dead tree in high relief on the top. Found in an estate, it is empty, but whether it has been used previously or not is unknown. Embossed signature and date from Matthews International in 1980 on the inside of the top. Bottom screws on with brass screws. Hollow cube for cremation ashes....or you could use it as a stash box, or just a really cool piece of modern art. Measures about 7 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches square. Excellent condition with no damage. Shows a dark old patina to the brass with some mottled verdigris in spots as pictured.
