Neat old wooden small jewelry or trinket box with working lock, includes key, that has been covered with pyrography designs. This Flemish Art type box has an image of a girl on the lid wearing a blue dress and hat and some hand-painted yellow rose flowers on the sides. The inside of the box is lined with velvety padded fabric. There is a caption below the girl that reads "Pinxy" or "Pinky" and the box is signed by the maker on the bottom with initials and a last name. The box measures just over 5 inches long. Very nice condition with no breaks or damage. Shows only some light signs of age and the hinges are connected with a single wire rod.
