We really have no idea what is going on here with this box. We've had it for a couple years and can't remember where we got it. It's a handmade folk art box made from an old shipping crate that once held Pyramid brand figs (at least that's what the antique stenciling looks like on the end). Original stenciling is faded. Someone added some bits and pieces of wood, metal buttons, rulers, a metal cow silhouette, a skeleton hand, lamp parts, etc. to the crate, as well as some porcelain knobs on the ends and they hand-painted it as pictured. It's unsigned, maker unknown. Don't know who did this, but it could be classified as outsider art by the looks of it. The box measures 17 inches long by 9 1/2 inches and it's about 6 inches deep.
