Antique railroad pass card from the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad Company from 1879. The pass belonged to John S. Cook who was a traffic manager at the P.P. & J. Railroad (Pekin, Peoria and Jacksonville Railroad in Illinois). The card is signed by W.K. Vanderbilt, William Kissam Vanderbilt was the son and heir of William Henry Vanderbilt. The pass comes with a calling card of Cook's with a Knight's Templar symbol from the Peoria Commandery No. 3.
