Product Overview
This vintage skookum type Native American Indian doll was found in an estate near the Seneca Nation in New York State. It has an old label taped to the back of it that reads "Lucy Baker 1939." Beyond that, we don't know anything further about the provenance of this doll. It appears to be a composition doll from that period that someone handcrafted and painted into a skookum type doll. It has leather moccasins and an Indian blanket. It has a leather papoose on its back and inside is a little bisque Indian chief penny doll. Doll is in very good condition with no major damage. There is what appears to be an old moth hole in the back bottom of her pants. Doll measures about 6 1/2 inches tall.
