Antique thick and heavy bronze ashtray with central matchbook holder and a handle in the shape of a man's face made by Bernard & Frank in New York. Signed on the bottom with embossed patent applied for text. The ashtray, especially the matchbook holder portion, has considerable verdigris. Pictured pretty much as found, we gave it a quick wipe-down, but made no considerable effort to remove the verdigris. The ashtray is in very good condition with no major damage. There is a cast iron ring on the bottom that appears to be missing a small section as pictured, which doesn't affect the look or functionality of the ashtray. Base measures 5 1/2 inches wide for size reference. Refer to the photos for a better idea of the style and condition, you will receive the exact ashtray that is pictured.
