Antique Rochester Optical & Camera Co. Folding Premo Field Camera w/ Case

Antique folding bellows field camera in original leather case with film holders by the Rochester Optical & Camera Company in Rochester, New York. This camera is from the right around the turn of the century. It has a 1900 patent under the lens Rauber & Wollensak Optical Company. It doesn't appear to be marked with a model of any sort. It appears to be from the Premo line of cameras, or something similar. The camera is from the pre-Eastman-Kodak era likely made in 1900-1902...based on our uneducated utilization of the google machine.

Camera was found in an estate as pictured. It appears to be in very nice condition. The shutter is in working condition. The camera folds and rolls out on the tracks as it should. The camera has only some light finish wear to the wood and the leather case is pretty nice with minor surface wear and age, but no major damage. The leather carrying case is rough, however, with an end flap separated and lots of a age and wear, though doesn't appear to be beyond restoration. It comes with a variety of film holders that are pictured of different brands. The film holders hold film that measure about 4 X 5 inches.
