Nice antique one gallon stoneware crock made by the Hawthorn Pottery Company in Hawthorn, PA. The crock has cobalt blue lettering on the side that was smudged when applied at the factory. The crock is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a very nice ring to it. Despite the ring, it does have a couple hairlines, one on the inside and one along the bottom....which may be only glaze deep, because it does ring very nicely. Measures about 7 1/4 inches tall.
