This is quite simply the most primitive slaw cutter ever. Found in Pennsylvania. This is a handmade sauerkraut cutter board or vegetable slicer that was handmade, handmade as in, someone took a piece of scrap metal lying around the farm, sharpened it and then carved out a board with the exact shape of the scrap and then flattened nails into sharp flat cutters and nailed them to the board....and then used to board extensively. You won't soon find another one similar to this. Measures 16 1/2 inches long. Nice condition, shows age and wear as pictured.
