Antique circa 1850 broad ax by Waters & Patterson in Westfield, New York. The ax head is signed on one side and is stamped "C. Hunter" on the other. Old steel broad ax head as found with some light surface rust. This axe has a blade that measures 10 3/4 inches tall. Axe head is in very good condition with no damage and shows only normal wear from use as pictured. The ax is in fine condition for use, just add a handle and chop away.
