This is a vintage handmade travel souvenir. Figure is a made of fabric and what appears to be seeds of some sort. It's unclear to us what exactly the figure is supposed to be doing. It is mounted on a wood base that has the handwritten words "Cuba" and "Mayaguora."
This figure was found in the estate of a prominent African American educator who was compiling Black Americana and Black Memorabilia items for a museum prior to her death. Novelty souvenirs such as this one were not always made in the region that they were sold, where this one was made is unknown.
