Old unsigned redware pottery spoon rest in the shape of a mammy face with yellow polka dots on her bandana. The spoon holder has a shiny glaze and a wire through holes in the underside so that it can be hung on the wall as a decoration or out of the way when not in use. Nice large size, measures just over 7 1/2 inches tall...large enough for multiple utensils or wooden spoons. Unsigned, maker unknown. This Black Americana spoon rest is in excellent condition with no chips or damage and no significant surface wear.
