Antique 1930s Gulf Electric-Motor Oil handy oiler tin with original threaded lead spout. Manufactured by the Petroleum Specialties Division of Gulf Oil Corp. / Gulf Refining Co. (Pittsburgh, PA). Features bold pre-WWII dark blue, cream, and orange disc logo lithography advertising specialized lubrication for refrigerators, washing machines, ironers, and home workshop motors. The reverse details Gulf's patented 1930s Alchlor Process refining. Authentic vintage garage patina with honest surface wear, light oxidation, and paint flaking along the side seam. Retains its original lead metal spout, but missing the little cap. An exceptional, scarce early piece of petroliana advertising!
