Product Overview
This is an original vintage 1-quart paint can for BPS Flatlux "The One-Coat Wall Paint - Made With Oil" (c. 1940s-1950s), manufactured by The Patterson-Sargent Co. (Cleveland, Chicago, New York, Kansas City, St. Paul, Detroit, Boston, Fort Worth). We did not open the can, but it is full or nearly full of liquid.
The can features striking graphics with the iconic bright orange and black circular "BPS - Best Paint Sold" logo over a fine pinstripe background, labeled for color Wedgewood Blue (2970). The back retains full product information, preparation instructions, and chemical composition details.
Condition: Structurally solid with its original friction lid firmly in place. The lithographed paper label is intact with bold color, showing authentic vintage patina including light surface spotting, minor paper edge wear, and honest surface rust/oxidation on the exposed metal top lid and bottom rim.
