This is a vintage 1950s Plantation Drum Stix Fruit Flavors Candy Tin from the Plantation Chocolate Co., Inc. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Lithographed to resemble a traditional toy snare drum, the tin features graphic Civil War and historical military motifs around the perimeter, including a marching drummer boy in uniform, cavalrymen on horseback, and artillery cannons. The front panel advertises "PLANTATION DRUM STIX - FRUIT FLAVORS" (14 oz. net weight). The press-on lid displays a starburst pattern of wrapped hard candy sticks. Made in the USA, it retains great color density with light rim wear, minor scratches, and mild oxidation on the unpainted metal bottom.
