This is an original vintage letterpress printing block / mailer cut (c. 1950s) for the Planters Peanuts "Mr. Peanut Child's Silver Set" premium offer that was used to print promotional postcards advertising the set.
Constructed with metal electrotype printing plates pinned onto a heavy solid hardwood block base, this printing cut was created to print the illustrated shipping/order mailer box for the famous promotional flatware set. The right side features crisp, raised relief illustrations of the complete 3-piece silverplate child's utensil set (spoon, fork, and butter knife) topped with dimensional figures of Mr. Peanut, alongside the headline "MR. PEANUT CHILD'S SILVER SET", postal guidelines for third-class mail, an address line template, and a postage box stating "MAIL ANYWHERE IN U.S.A. 3 CENTS".
Condition is very good vintage with sharp relief lines, clean engraved details, tight plate pins, and solid hardwood mounting showing authentic ink remnants and honest age-related workshop toning.
