This is an original vintage Sharp's Hard Candy lithographed tin (c. 1950s). Manufactured in Maidstone, Kent, England by Edward Sharp & Sons Ltd., this collectible confectionery tin features a color photographic portrait lid depicting a smiling young woman hugging a yellow Golden Retriever / Labrador dog, accented with a "Sharp's HARD CANDY" corner emblem.
The cream-colored sides feature mid-century atomic graphic trim alongside historical Royal Warrant text reading "BY APPOINTMENT SUPPLIERS OF GLUCOSE CONFECTIONERY TO THE LATE KING GEORGE VI" and "MADE IN ENGLAND BY Edward Sharp & Sons Ltd MAIDSTONE KENT". The tin measures approximately 5 1/2 inches long by 4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches deep. Condition is very good vintage; the interior and raw metal base are clean, and the lid graphics remain bright with typical light rim scratching and minor shelf wear.
