Product Overview

This vintage reverse painted glass silhouette thermometer doubles as an advertising display for James Fusco Groceries and Meats / Flour and Feed located at 105 Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania. (Dial 274).

Circa 1930s-1940s, the artwork features a black silhouette of a Southern belle/Victorian lady descending a staircase beside an arched window with a foil-backed floral accent scene behind her. Next to the silhouette is a graphic grandfather clock holding a working glass tube thermometer. Housed in a cream-colored painted wood frame with a gold beaded inner border, it includes a brass metal hanging loop on the cardboard backer. It is in very good vintage condition with intact reverse glass printing, functional thermometer tube, and no damage, shows only some light surface wear to the frame edges.

Measures 6 5/8 inches tall for size reference. Refer to the photos for a better idea of the style and condition, you will receive the exact advertising thermometer silhouette that is pictured.
