This is a vintage 1960s-1970s Cheinco (J. Chein & Co.) tin lithograph oval wastebasket. Embossed stamped signature on bottom. Made in USA.
The trash can features a creamy off-white or ivory exterior background detailed with a romantic, cottagecore-style floral motif. The central graphic showcases a vibrant bouquet of peach-orange and pink roses accented by bright green leaves and delicate blue field flowers, bordered on the top and bottom by matching horizontal floral bands. The interior of the can and the rolled top rim are finished in a solid, contrasting peach-salmon enamel coat.
Measures about 9 1/2 inches tall. Very good condition with no major wear. Shows some light dings and litho wear and some faint tarnish in spots from use. Very nice looking retro can.
