Original vintage 1930s Art Deco "Elephant Carousel" frosted pink satin glass powder jar / vanity trinket box manufactured by L.E. Smith Glass Co. (Greensburg, PA). Molded in soft blush pink satin glass with a fully dimensional standing elephant finial atop a circus-tent style radiating lid. The base features a continuous relief pattern of walking circus elephants raised on a distinctive castle-crenellated footed rim. In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs along the delicate trunk, ear edges, or base crenellations, with an exceptionally clean, velvety acid-etched finish throughout. Measures 5 1/4 inches wide.
