Vintage 1970s art pottery macramé hanging owl planter pot. The piece is unsigned; probably produced by American studio pottery makers or similar 1970s ceramicists. Crafted from tan unglazed stoneware bisque featuring relief floral accents and glossy drip-glaze details in rich tortoise brown and turquoise blue over radiant eyes and wings. Designed specifically for hanging with 3 pre-formed cord/macramé holes around the top rim and a bottom drainage hole. In very good vintage condition with clean details, minor internal use wear, and no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Measures about 4 1/2 inches tall. Inside has some ink marks from the previous owner using it as a pen holder.
