Antique Victorian 1880s lithograph advertising trade card for The Putnam Nail Co. of Boston / Neponset, Massachusetts. Lithographed by Avil & Co., Philadelphia, featuring a detailed cartoon depicting a race between a carriage horse and a donkey cart with 19th-century Black Americana themes and promotional verse. The reverse provides detailed company text outlining hot-forged and hammer-pointed horseshoe nails. In very good antique condition with sharp corners, bright color lithography, mild edge toning, and light pencil markings on the back.
