This original real photo postcard (RPPC) features a 6-month-old baby, identified on the reverse in pencil as "Annieta Irons, born 1920." Found in Pennsylvania.
The child is seated in a white gown in a wicker chair positioned in front of a prominent Native American or Southwestern style woven blanket backdrop featuring traditional geometric swastika / whirling log motifs. Prior to its adoption by the Nazi party, the swastika was a widely used Native American (Navajo/Fred Harvey era) and early 20th-century American symbol representing good luck and auspicious fortune.
The reverse features an unposted divided back with an AZO stamp box (all four triangles pointing up), perfectly matching the 1920 date written on the back. The postcard is in clean condition with minor surface foxing near the baby's gown and sharp focus throughout.
