Original antique Keystone View Company "Monarch" stereoscope / Holmes-style stereoview card viewer (Meadville, PA, Patented April 12, 1904). Features a rich hardwood frame and shaft with a folding turned wooden handle, clear dual prism glass lenses, and a smooth sliding card carriage with wire photo clips. The embossed aluminum viewing hood is decorated with engraved foliate flourishes and a central medallion depicting a standing stag marked "MONARCH", finished with its original olive-green velvet face-cushion trim. Factory-stamped under the hood: "MANUFACTURED BY KEYSTONE VIEW CO. MEADVILLE, PA. PAT'D APR. 12, 1904". In very good functional antique condition with clear optics, smooth sliding card bracket, secure folding handle joint, and typical honest age wear to the aluminum finish and velvet edge (viewer only; display base shown for photography is not included).
