This is an authentic antique 25-year faithful service medal from the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.). The medal features a beautifully detailed multi-piece design suspended from a gold-tone three-link chain header bar, which symbolizes the core Odd Fellows virtues of Friendship, Love, and Truth.
The main pendant showcases a striking white enamel five-pointed star set against a vibrant, textured red enamel background, bordered by decorative golden laurel leaves. At the center of the star is a blue enamel circular crest featuring the number "25" in gold.
The reverse side of the medal is custom hand-engraved with historical provenance, reading:
"OLIVER JORDAN / KNOX LODGE / NO 954 I.O.O.F. / ADMITTED / FEBRUARY 17 1921 / PENNSYLVANIA / A4729"
The pin-back mechanism on the header bar is fully intact and operational. The enamel is in exceptionally clean condition with no visible chips, and the metal elements display a beautiful, light natural age patina.
