Antique Victorian Glass Inkwell Hinged Brass Floral Domed Lid Desk Hobnail Base

Antique Victorian heavy pressed glass desk inkwell with an ornate hinged brass collar and domed lid. The square glass well features clear polished sides and a molded diamond-point / hobnail waffle base. The brass-toned metal cap is cast with classical foliate scrolls along the domed top and embossed floral clusters on the corner shoulders. The hinged lid opens smoothly to reveal the original dipped well with authentic period ink residue. Good antique condition with sound glass free of major chips, working hinge, aged surface patina, and a small age hairline at the metal collar edge.
