This is an original vintage June 8, 1948 wire service news photo (ACME / Newspaper Enterprise Association) documenting a fatal train-car collision near Kalamazoo, Michigan with deceased victims laying in a ditch alongside railroad tracks.
The photo shows an overturned, crushed automobile lying upside down next to Grand Trunk Western railroad tracks, with bystanders and first responders gathered beside the scene.
