Antique 19th-century primitive black powder horn. Handcrafted from natural steer horn, displaying rich organic coloration grading from creamy honey-tan to dark brown near the spout. Features a carved annular ring spout collar for sling attachment and an early hand-fitted turned softwood butt plug secured with decorative round brass tacks. Honest antique condition with an authentic mellow aged patina; shows period field wear including chips and losses to the horn rim along the butt plug as shown, while remaining structurally sound and completely uncleaned.
