Product Overview
Authentic vintage Shaker-style oval bentwood pantry finger box with a matching fitted lid, hand-crafted in the timeless American folk tradition. Made from finely steam-bent hardwood bands secured with classic tapered swallowtail fingers-two fingers wrapping the base and one on the lid-each neatly fastened with solid copper tacks and tiny wooden pegging along the bottom seam. The wood displays an attractive, warm golden-amber patina with prominent natural graining on the flat top and bottom panels.
The lid fits snugly and lifts smoothly to reveal a clean, pristine unfinished wood interior free of odors, stains, or residues. An exceptional piece of traditional woodworking and rustic Americana decor, perfect for storing jewelry, keepsakes, sewing notions, or as an accent piece in primitive and country farmhouse collections. In excellent vintage condition with a smooth, well-preserved satin finish, tight structural joints, and no cracks, splits, or warping.
Very well made Shaker box, in exceptional condition. Vintage, not antique. Refer to pics for size and style reference.
