Crafted with a lathe-turned, tapered hardwood handle finished in warm golden amber lacquer, it features a carved collar stamped with the trade sizing mark "10 XX" (no maker's brand name is marked). The dense, full head of genuine dark horsehair bristles is tightly set into the wooden ferrule base, designed traditionally for dusting surfaces prior to painting, wallpapering, or drafting. In very good vintage condition with a solid handle and firmly set bristles that remain full and flexible, displaying honest age patina, light paint splatter, and minor surface finish wear.
