First introduced in 1967 to commemorate the town of York, Pennsylvania, Pfaltzgraff modeled the Yorktowne pattern after historic 19th-century salt-glazed American stoneware. This handled milk can shape is one of the more sought-after specialty accessory pieces from the line.
Vintage Pfaltzgraff stoneware handled milk can vase / utensil crock in the iconic "Yorktowne" pattern (first introduced in 1967). Designed with a traditional milk jug silhouette featuring side lug handles, a rolled flared rim with a cobalt blue banded edge, and hand-applied deep cobalt blue Pennsylvania Dutch folk floral spray decoration over a smooth, salt-glaze style buff-gray ground. Smooth glazed interior and glazed recessed bottom with unglazed resting ring. Outstanding vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
