This is an original vintage 1983 Westmoreland Glass ruby red hand-painted art glass basket, complete with its original foil factory label.
Crafted in rich, deep ruby glass, this collectible basket features a flared ruffled rim, a rayed/star-cut base, and an applied twisted reed arched handle. The side is decorated in raised enamel Mary Gregory-style folk art depicting a young girl in a ponytail holding a fishing rod on a dock beneath willow branches. It is hand-signed and dated by the artist on the front lower base: "L. Plues." The rim retains the authentic gold foil "Westmoreland Authentic Handmade Glass" keystone label.
Condition is pristine/excellent vintage with vivid red glass clarity, intact hand-painted enamel decoration, a firm handle connection, and no chips, cracks, or fleabites.
