Antique early 1900s divided back color postcard. The piece is unsigned; probably produced by European or American novelty postcard printers. Features a portrait captioned "A rose between two thorns" depicting three smiling young African American children against a textured colored background. Postally used with a green 1¢ Benjamin Franklin stamp cancelled with a purple pen/crayon mark and period pencil correspondence discussing "getting the grip." In good antique condition with light corner and edge wear and minor age toning.
