This is an original antique Victorian trade card (c. 1880s-1890s) advertising Kendall Mfg. Co. "French Laundry Soap" out of Providence, Rhode Island.
The front features a color chromolithograph depicting two young Black boys carrying a baby seated inside a branded "Kendall Mfg Co French Laundry Soap" box suspended from a tree branch across a flower-filled meadow. The top is printed "KENDALL M'F'G. CO. PROVIDENCE, R. I." The reverse is printed with bold promotional advertising declaring the soap "THE BEST SOAP EVER MADE" and detailing its availability in pressed cakes and bars, noting the company's establishment date of 1827.
