Original early 1900s colorized postcard depicting the historic "Old Slave Block in the Old St. Louis Hotel, New Orleans, La." Front caption reads: "The colored woman standing on the block was sold for $1500.00 on this same block when a little girl." Architectural archway above is lettered "M. Barnett / Office 40 St. Louis St." (No. 5264). Unposted, undivided back in clean, excellent vintage condition with sharp corners and no creasing. Significant, highly collectible historical Black Americana ephemera.
