This is an antique Joseph Rodgers & Sons ink eraser / desk scraper tool featuring a spear-point steel blade and a smooth, dark wooden handle. The tang is clearly stamped on one side with "J. RODGERS & SONS 6 NORFOLK ST SHEFFIELD", while the opposite side features their iconic Star and Maltese Cross trademark. Historically utilized by bookkeepers and draftsmen for scraping ink from parchment and paper, it displays authentic 19th-century patina, light pitting on the steel, and minor edge chips near the butt end of the wooden handle. Measures just over 5 inches long.
