Product Overview
This is an antique steel ink scraper / eraser knife produced by the Miller Brothers Cutlery Company under the Cutlery Eraser Company trademark. Featuring a small, spear-pointed leaf-shaped steel blade set into a smooth, dark wooden handle, the metal tang is clearly stamped with the "C.E. CO." mark. Historically used by bookkeepers, draftsmen, and calligraphers to carefully scrape iron gall ink errors from paper or parchment, this piece measures approximately 5.5 inches in total length. It remains in good vintage condition with age-appropriate steel patination and light surface oxidation on the blade.
