Product Overview
This is an original antique German Putz miniature wool / spun cotton sheep figure (c. late 19th to early 20th century), traditionally made for holiday village, nativity, and Christmas displays.
Crafted with classic old-world construction, the figure features a composition/wood head and face with delicate hand-painted facial accents, atop a detailed textured fleece body (spun cotton/wool flocking). It stands on four original carved wooden matchstick-style legs.
Condition is very good antique with an authentic, uncleaned vintage patina, intact matchstick legs with sturdy stance, minor expected light age toning to the flocking, and no breaks or structural damage.
