This is an original vintage 1983 Westmoreland Glass ruby red hand-painted art glass basket, complete with its original foil factory label.
Molded in rich ruby red glass, this piece features an embossed ribbed body, a ruffled crimped rim, and an applied twisted high-arch handle. The front panel is decorated in Mary Gregory-style raised white enamel folk art, depicting a young boy sitting on a tree branch while fishing with a pole and line. It is hand-signed and dated on the lower rim by the decorator: "J. Blices 1983". The rim retains the original gold foil keystone label reading "Westmoreland Authentic Handmade Glass".
Condition is pristine/excellent vintage with crisp white enamel, clean glass clarity, an intact structural handle weld, and no chips, cracks, or fleabites.
