Original 1910 antique divided back postcard featuring a vivid color lithograph of a caricatured Black boy in a white rowing uniform paddling a kayak or canoe through rushing water. Signed in the lower left corner by noted German illustrator Arthur Thiele (Arth. Thiele). Published by G.A. Novelty Art Series (No. 871) and printed in Germany. Postally used and postmarked February 1, 1910 from Noblesville, Indiana to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, franked with a green 1-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp. Strong color and crisp embossing with light corner tip wear and minor postal handling on the reverse. An authentic and collectible piece of early 20th-century Black Americana and comic illustration ephemera.
