Original 1906 Black Americana caricature comic postcard titled "Darktown Doctors" (Series No. 76, Card No. 1891) illustrated by famed cartoonist R.F. Outcault (creator of Buster Brown and The Yellow Kid). Published by The Ullman Manufacturing Co., New York. Postally used and canceled on August 9, 1907 in Oskaloosa, Iowa with a crisp machine flag cancel over a 2¢ red Washington stamp. Shows minor edge wear and light album paper residue on the reverse; front colors and illustration remain bright and clean. Highly collectible early 20th-century historical caricature ephemera!
