This is a vintage antique steel eraser knife / ink scraper desktop stationery tool made by The Brooks Company. Featuring a small, spear-pointed leaf-shaped steel blade attached to a long, flat dark wooden handle, the metal neck is clearly stamped "THE BROOKS COMPANY". Historically used by draftsmen, calligraphers, and bookkeepers to scrape dried ink or errors from parchment and paper, the tool measures approximately 5 1/2 inches in total length. It is in good vintage condition with an authentic patina, light surface wear to the steel blade, and minor edge wear on the wooden handle.
