Vintage Royal Doulton porcelain character / toby jug featuring Charles Dickens' iconic character "Mr. Pickwick" (D5839). Modeled wearing his signature spectacles, green peaked cap, white collar, and brown spotted bow tie, with an embossed "Mr. Pickwick" banner across the lower back coat. Features the classic Royal Doulton green lion and crown backstamp on the underside. In excellent condition with vibrant hand-painted coloring, high gloss glaze, and no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
