Product Overview
Original circa 1924-1949 Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) full-length snapshot of two African American children, likely brother and sister. The young boy is dressed in a short-sleeve belted romper suit with low shoes, and the older girl wears a white summer dress with a Peter Pan collar and high-top lace-up shoes, standing together on a wooden porch in front of horizontal clapboard siding. Printed with distinctive wide black borders along the top and bottom edges. Unsigned, maker unknown. Reverse features an unmailed divided back with an authentic AZO stamp box (squares in all four corners, dating 1924-1949). Good vintage condition with soft silvering, light edge chipping, subtle creasing along the top black band, and light age toning to the clean unwritten reverse. A wonderful piece of 1920s-1930s African American vernacular photography and Black Americana family ephemera.
