Product Overview
Original circa 1904-1918 Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) studio portrait featuring an African American girl and infant sibling. The older child stands poised in a white eyelet dress with a hair bow, supporting the baby seated barefoot atop an ornate carved wooden bench. Unsigned, maker unknown. The reverse features an unmailed divided back with an authentic AZO stamp box (all four corner triangles pointing up, dating 1904-1918). Condition shows authentic period age and handling wear, including lower horizontal and corner creases across the bottom third, surface scuffs, and light age toning on reverse, while both children's faces retain clear focus and strong contrast. A poignant, rare example of early 20th-century vernacular African American family and sibling portraiture.
