Nice looking vintage postcard with Black Americana theme. Pictured and shipped in stiff top loader. Condition is as pictured.
This is an authentic vintage unposted (unused) linen-era postcard (c. 1930s-1940s), published for the Asheville Post Card Co. (Asheville, N.C.) and produced as a "COLOURPICTURE" PUBLICATION. The front features a comic "Black Americana" caricature scene set in a barber shop, showing a barber applying lather to a customer while looking back at a manicurist. It bears the printed title: "I MAY BE A 'LITTLE SHAVER'-BUT I GOT MAH EYE ON SOMETHIN' BIG!"
The card bears production number 927 at the bottom left corner of the front image. The reverse features an unposted divided back printed in dark blue ink with a blank stamp box and clean card stock. Condition is uncirculated and well-preserved inside a protective sleeve.
