Nice looking vintage postcard with Black Americana theme. Pictured and shipped in stiff top loader. Condition is as pictured.
This is an authentic vintage unposted (unused) linen-era postcard (c. 1942), published by Curt Teich & Co. (Chicago). The illustration features a comic "Black Americana" caricature of a woman in a floral dress and red polka-dot headwrap looking back toward a child standing behind a tree next to a bucket, accompanied by the caption: "LAWSY ME! WHAT A PECULIAR LITTLE BOY".
The card is a standard "GENUINE CURTEICH-CHICAGO 'C. T. ART-COLORTONE' POST CARD (REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.)" and bears Curt Teich production code 2B-H591 inside the stamp box, dating its production to 1942. The reverse side features an unposted divided back printed in blue ink with a "PLACE ONE CENT STAMP HERE" box. Condition is clean, uncirculated NOS with minimal wear, presented in a clear protective sleeve.
