Nice looking vintage postcard with Black Americana theme. Pictured and shipped in stiff top loader. Condition is as pictured.
This is an authentic vintage unposted (unused) linen-era postcard (c. 1942), published by Curt Teich & Co. (Chicago). The illustration depicts a racist "Black Americana" caricature of a child seated on an outhouse toilet seat with a book hanging nearby, accompanied by the comic caption: "BEFORE EVERYTHING GOES TO POT YOU'LL BE HEARING FROM ME".
The card is a standard "GENUINE CURTEICH-CHICAGO 'C. T. ART-COLORTONE' POST CARD (REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.)" and bears serial number C-814 at top right and production code 2CH411 at bottom right. The reverse side features an unposted divided back printed in blue ink with a blank stamp box. Condition is clean uncirculated with a small dark paper remnant/adhesive spot near the top left corner on the reverse. Presented in a protective sleeve.
